Brazilian fighter Bethe Correia is confident she can dethrone UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey at UFC 190 on Saturday, saying that Rousey is not “unbeatable.” Correia, who has an undefeated record of 9-0, believes she has what it takes to beat Rousey on August 1 at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro.

With just less than a week before fight night, the anticipation for the Correia-Rousey match-up has been heating up, with the former claiming that the female champ is all hype. “Pitbull” said Rousey has never faced a tough Brazilian who has been through wars to get to the No.1 contender spot for the bantamweight title. The 32-year-old Correia also believes she is the one that will put up a fight against Rousey, who is known for defeating opponents in just one round.

"Ronda has this characteristic of being this almighty perfect fighter, and the media's created this illusion that she's unbeatable. I don't believe she's unbeatable," Correia said to Rolling Stone.

The Brazilian female fighter also dismissed Rousey’s fighting abilities, saying that every athlete has a weakness. Correia confessed she has been studying Rousey’s judo style and claimed she has a perfect strategy come fight night, according to MMA Junkie.

Meanwhile, the 28-year-old Rousey also has the perfect plan, but not entirely within the match against Correia on Saturday night. Rousey, who holds an undefeated record of 11-0, looks to quickly end UFC 190’s main event and go on with her hectic schedule.

“I’m going to beat up Bethe, then I’m going to take a couple of weeks to rest, and then I’m going to go beat up Miesha [Tate], and then I’m going to go to like Thailand or wherever we decide to film [Mile 22] and prep for like a month, and then start filming for like eight to 10 weeks, and then go beat up the next chick,” Rousey said via USA Today.

Rousey had seized opportunities to talk smack about Correia, in which the latter responded with a more personal jab of her own, saying she hopes Rousey does not kill herself when she loses the title. The comments infuriated the “most dangerous unarmed woman in the planet”, as Rousey’s father committed suicide.
