"Two and a Half Men" will be replacing their "half" with a girl. The U.S. sitcom is reportedly going to introduce a new female character that will replace Angus T. Jones in the next season.

According to Deadline, CBS the girl, who is in her late teens or early 20s, will fill the void left by Jones, who has left the show after ten seasons, and will bring in a major twist to the story.

The unnamed actress will play someone who claims to be the late Charlie Harper's (Charlie Sheen) daughter. She will eventually move in with Walden (Ashton Kutcher) and Alan (Jon Cryer), replacing Jake (Jones) in the process.

Before the show decided to kill Sheen's character in season nine, Charlie owned the house where the main characters live. Walden then bought the house and invited Alan and his son, Jake, to live with him.

Jones only appeared occasionally during the tenth season of the show as his character Jake had joined the army. Jake will also be shipped to Japan on a year, which means that he won't be around much as well.

Last month, CBS announced that Jones will only have recurring role for the 11th season, while both Kutcher and Cryer have signed for another year as regular characters.

His departure from the show means that Cryer is the only original main cast left. Sheen was fired in 2011 after a series of controversies, including badmouthing series creator Chuck Lorre.

Jones also caused controversy with the show. Last year, a video of him talking to a religious pastor was posted on YouTube. In the clip, Jones can be heard lambasting the show, calling it "filth," and asking viewers to stop watching it. He later apologised for his behaviour, and CBS forgave him, but, apparently, not enough to keep him on the show.
