Twitter Crashed: "The Walking Dead" and Oscars 2014 to blame?

What happens when two heavyweight champions enter the ring? It crashes. It goes down. Twitter was down, and two suspects were Norman Reedus or Daryl Dixon of "The Walking Dead" and 86th Annual Academy Awards.

Now, "The Walking Dead" doesn't worry about the TV ratings. The show defeated 2014 Sochi Winter Games last month.

This time it was "The Walking Dead" vs. 2014 Oscars.

Coincidently, "The Walking Dead" season 4, episode 12 titled "Still" was a Daryl Dixon heavy episode. The fan following of Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) is enormous. However, we have to see if that can eclipse Oscars 2014.

On Sunday, the official Twitter handle of AMC tweeted that Norman Reedus will make an appearance on "Talking Dead" and doing a live Q&A session on Twitter with #AskTWD.

On Saturday night, Emily tweeted that she will be sharing the Twitter Q&A session with Norman. "Send me your questions with #AskTWD," tweeted Emily

The hashtag #AskTWD started trending as soon as Norman tweeted about it.

Norman made an appearance on "Talking Dead" on March 2 and Emily Kinney (Beth Greene) also joined with guest fan J.B. Smoove and host Chris Hardwick..

Before Twitter crashed, Norman warned about the crash from his handle - @wwwbigbaldhead. He thanked his fans and said that he loved them for the support.

The resident cross bow expert at "The Walking Dead" also praised the efforts of Emily's character Beth. He mentioned that episode 12, "Still" would be amazing.

Meanwhile, #TheOscars2014 also stormed Twitter as fans and celebrities tweeted about the awards night. At the time of writing this article, #TheOscars2014 was trending on Twitter.

JLaw's marvellous fall was one of the funniest moments from the red carpet at 86th Annual Academy Awards.

So, who do you blame for the Twitter crash - Norman Reedus and Emily Kinney from "The Walking Dead" or 2014 Oscars?
