Tweets poke fun at leaked images of James Harden’s new work boot sneakers
Twitter users had a field day on Wednesday bashing the new work boot sneakers of Houston Rockets guard James Harden. His first signature shoe is described as a cross between a work boot and a pair of Crocs.
The trolls is a repeat of what Stephen Curry also went through to defend his Air Shuffleboard, points out SBNation. To make matters worse for Harden, he is not as revered as Curry, so the tweets were worse than what Curry got for his Curry 2 lows.
Thebiglead notes that unattractive sneaker releases is customarily roasted on the internet. The sports website agrees with bashers that Harden’s new sneakers are not attractive and “look dirty, right out of the box.”
For Jensen Karp, Harden’s signature shoes would be something that fairy tale character and puppet maker Geppetto would carve for Pinocchio. Ian Kenyon tweets that Harden’s sneakers “looks like something my dad would wear on a trip to the farm.”
But for Ben Rogers, the shoes combines what a mall Santa Claus and Uncle Si wears. Anthony Bianchi compares the sneakers to tires on his 1998 Toyota. Vinny Hardy says the signature shoes look like his grass mowing kicks.
Jake O’Donnell asks if Harden has gout and adds the shoes look like it came from the Rockport outlet store’s clearance section. ess_see says the shoes “look like something Frankenstein would wear to the gym.” Ruddy adds it should not be for court use but for grocery store employees so they would not slip.
