Aussie Internet sensation Troye Sivan will be performing Down Under in August 2016, and his fans can’t wait for the month to arrive. The openly gay 20-year-old pop sensation has announced his first Australian tour and the dates have been revealed.

He will be performing on Aug. 3 at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion, Aug. 4 at Canberra’s UC Refectory, Aug. 6 at Brisbane Riverstage, Aug. 7 at Wollongong’s University Great Hall, Aug. 9 at Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena, Aug. 11 at AEC Theatre in Adelaide and Aug. 13 will be his hometown show at Perth’s HBF Stadium.

Sivan will be accompanied by guest Nicole Millar. He will be the first openly gay artist to play at Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena. Last week, Sivan won the Outstanding Music Artist at the GLAAD Media Awards due to his honesty about his sexuality in his music videos and interviews. Sivan also met Taylor Swift at the awards and the two, along with “Orange is the New Black” star Ruby Rose, took a “kissing” photo.

Sivan will be spending April and May on the road in the UK and Europe before returning home. He toured the US from February through March. Tickets for the Down Under August 2016 show will go on sale on April 18 though pre-sale will be starting on April 14.

Sivan is practising hard to give his best performance till date. Up to now, his stage presentation has lacked vocal power and he needs to build a sense of how to build and pace a show. As The Sydney Morning Herald puts it, Sivan is aiming for pop perfection.

“I learn a million little things every single night. The goal is just to keep getting better. I'm so far from perfect still, I'm figuring that out every single day,” Sivan added.
