Ashley Cole's representative, David Mannaseh, dismissed rumours linking the former Chelsea man to Crystal Palace.

The 33-year-old former England international rode the bench in AS Roma's recent three matches, which sparked reports that he is growing unhappy with his limited first-team participation at the Stadio Olimpico.

However, Mannaseh insisted that Cole is content with life in the Holy City.

"Ashley is loving life in Italy and in Rome. He has never been happier," he told the Evening Standard.

"Whoever has given this information out is a disgrace because all it does is give fans of a football club false hope.

"Ashley is concentrating on trying to win trophies in Italy and, in particular, Serie A this season. Nothing else."

Cole spent over two months on loan at Palace when he was still with Arsenal in 2000. And given that the Eagles are in dire need of quality to retain their top-flight status when the season ends, the London native will be continually linked to Selhurst Park.
