Manchester United has agreed to send Angel di Maria to Paris Saint-German for a price tag of $71 million. Di Maria, who is currently on vacation in United States after a runner-up finish in the Copa America, could join PSG as soon as Friday or Saturday.

The 27-year-old Di Maria made only 27 Premier League appearances with United. The Argentine international has adjusted to club’s playbooks, but was not given security as a first-teamer.

Di Maria was reportedly close to moving to Parc des Princes last year, but his transfer was halted because of UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules. He then joined United instead for a whopping $82 million deal as noted by Pro Soccer Talk.

However, despite Di Maria’s imminent exit from Old Trafford, United boss Louis van Gaal included the Argentine striker in the squad’s preseason tour in Charlotte. Van Gaal confirmed that Di Maria, along with Marcos Rojo and Javier Hernandez will be joining United’s preseason trip.

"Every word is one word too much. I have read a lot of interesting players that Manchester United could buy. It is not true with every player but I cannot say that,” van Gaal said when asked about the transfer rumours surrounding United.

United won their two previous matches against Mexican side Club America and San Jose Earthquakes. The Red Devils will finish their preseason tour on Wednesday when they face PSG in Chicago.

Meanwhile, PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has reportedly accepted the possibility to move at Old Trafford, posting a reunion with van Gaal during their time together at Ajax, according to Mirror.co.uk. However, the Swedish international admitted it would be difficult to adjust with van Gaal as noted by Manchester Evening News.

“He was a director in Ajax, and the way he is working is not the way I work,” Ibrahimovic said.
