Former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner is linked with a move to Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Danish international is free of any commitment at the moment after the Gunners opted not to renew his contract that expired in June.
Sources suggest that the 26-year-old is keen on staying in the Premier League, with Aston Villa as another possible option, but Frankfurt general manager Bruno Hubner reiterated that Bendtner remains on their list despite failing to lure him to join them last season.

"We already had good rounds of talk with (Nicklas) Bendtner last season," he told Hessischer Rundfunk.

"His name is in our head and he can well imagine doing a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt as far as I am concerned."

"There is no deal and nothing concrete, still Nicklas Bendtner is definitely a transfer option."

The imposing 6 ft 4 in forward showed glimpses of brilliance in the past, but ultimately failed to live up to expectations after coming through the youth ranks at Arsenal.
