Actor Bill Paxton has met his unfortunate end over the weekend due to complications of his heart surgery. But it does not mean that fans of the “Training Day” series won’t see Paxton missing in action too soon.

Apparently, the filming of the series ended in December, two months before the actor’s untimely death. The showrunners hinted that they had a special and perfect send-off in store for Paxton’s character in the series.

The Emmy award-winning actor passed away at the age of 61 on Feb. 25, following his heart surgery. Paxton suddenly died due to a fatal stroke that happened post-operatively.

With heavy hearts, the producers of “Training Day” stated that they will not recast Paxton’s role to any other actor. Creator Will Beall and executive producer Barry Schindel confessed that the performance of Paxton was irreplaceable for his portrayal of the main character “Frank Roarke.” The statement was according to the TMZ website.

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer expressed his sympathies by stating “He (Paxton) was a tremendously talented actor, and a wonderful man beloved by the entire Training Day cast and crew." Bruckheimer further stated that the late actor's extraordinary body of work will make him hard to forget. The producer offered heartfelt condolences to Bill’s family and friends. "He will be missed more than we can possibly express" Bruckheimer ended.

This Thursday’s episode will feature a dedication of the show to the actor at the start of the episode. The new series, which premiered in Australia on Seven last night, had filmed 13 episodes for CBS. Four have aired in the US so far. But due to the passing of Paxton, a second season now will increasingly become unlikely.

Paxton’s co-star Justin Cornwell also paid tribute for the iconic actor by posting a photo of him and Paxton together at the “People’s Choice Awards” event. Cornwell placed caption on the photo that stated “We were just two guys on top of the world. Rest easy my friend.” The photo was posted on Justin Cornwell’s Twitter page.

Paxton had several memorable performances across his lifetime. His works included "Apollo 13," "Edge of Tomorrow" and "Aliens." He won an Emmy for his performance in the movie"Hatfields and McCoys." He was a father of two and was married to Louise Newbury for 30 years.

The series “Training Day” is currently televised on Seven. The show is scheduled to screen every Sunday at 10:30 p.m. There will be a total of 13 episodes for the whole season. The first episode was just recently released in Australia and four episodes have already been aired in the United States.
