Fans have always considered “Marvel Puzzle Quest” to be a good mobile game, but it’s about to get “totally awesome” very soon. Marvel Entertainment and D3 have announced in a press release that the “Totally Awesome” Hulk will be making his video game debut in “Marvel Puzzle Quest,” months ahead of the character's comic book debut this December.

The “Totally Awesome” Hulk is Amadeus Cho, a young man who happens to be the eighth smartest person in the Marvel universe. The character has been an ally to Bruce Banner, the original Hulk and Hercules in previous Marvel Comics. The details of how Cho got his powers after the “Secret Wars” event is still unknown, but Marvel has made it clear that Cho will be enjoying his time as the Hulk, unlike Bruce Banner.

Marvel did their best to keep the identity of the character a secret, though many fans had already guessed that it was Cho or possibly Rick Jones. Marvel sent out teasers that the new Hulk could have been Odinson or Iron Fist, but it quickly revealed what most fans already knew.

It will be interesting to see how Cho’s power set is different from Banner’s in “Marvel Puzzle Quest.” Cho will seemingly be keeping his intelligence as the “Totally Awesome” Hulk, so the character could have an interesting mix of tactical manoeuvres and power moves to defeat opponents.

Comic Book Resources has reported that the character will be coming to the mobile game this fall, though no exact date has been given. Most of the details regarding the “Totally Awesome” Hulk in the game are still unknown, so fans will have to wait and see how strong the character is.

“Marvel Puzzle Quest” is available now on iOS and Android devices as a free download. The puzzle roleplaying game, or RPG, will also be coming to consoles later this year, ditching the free-to-play model. It will cost US$14.99 (AU$20.64).

Meanwhile, the “Totally Awesome Hulk #1” featuring the superstar team of Greg Pak and Frank Cho will be coming out in December. Fans interested in the Hulk’s new status quo can still reserve the title in their local comic shops.
