Runic Games is currently developing a mobile game version of “Torchlight” for Android device users and other mobile platforms. It is to be launched free-to-play and offers a new brand storyline with new areas for adventuring not found on “Torchlight” and “Torchlight 2.”

‘Torchlight’ Mobile Soon To Arrive On Android Smartphones And Tablets

Popular game developer of “Torchlight Series” – Runic Games – has announced the upcoming release of “Torchlight Mobile” for Android OS. It features several differences from previous “Torchlight” titles available for PC:

1. Brand new storyline apart from the first two game titles and will represent as a successor.

2. Several new areas will be included for players to explore and enjoy.

3. New set of playable races and classes on character creation.

4. Enabled support for PVP or Player-versus-Player mode.

5. Multiplayer support is included which will require Internet connection.

6. Time challenges but no specific details yet on how it works.

7. New Skill Augmentation system with possible explanation at E3 2015.

8. Pets will return with brand new collection system.

As of now, there is no exact date on when “Torchlight Mobile” will be released to Android OS or other mobile platform based from the reports by Android Authority and confirmed by the game’s official website. Other details have been unveiled as well according to the source Perfect World which include free-to-play experience once downloaded to the device and full access to the game without paying anything but players should expect in-game purchases designed to bring premium gaming experience.

It is unknown if the game will be played either on real-time controls just like in the PC version or in turn-based combat setting similar to other available 3D games such as “Summoners War” and “Monster Squad.” “Torchlight Mobile” is expected to be featured on the upcoming E3 2015 event this week to give fans a sneak preview on what to experience upon the official release. “Torchlight” is still available via Steam at $14.99 while “Torchlight 2” $19.99.
