Before 2012 ends on December 21, here are a few albums worth listening to. From Rihanna's "Unapologetic" album to Taylor Swift's "Red", here are the top albums that sold like pop tarts in the big 2-0-1-2.

Rihanna is surely shining like a diamond when she topped the Billboard 200.

"Wait!!!!! What the FU** ?!!!! #UNAPOLOGETIC just debuted at #1 in AMERICA!!!!! My first number 1 album there!!! Thank you Navy, u deserve it. I'm legit crying like a pussy right now!! #UNAPOLOGETIC," tweeted Rihanna.

Despite people against her unofficial relationship with Chris Brown, Rihanna's seventh studio album, "Unapologetic" was released on November 19, 2012 and debuted at the top spot on the Billboard 200 and also. The album also broke a first week sales record. With the number on single "Diamonds", "Unapologetic" sold 238,00 copies in its first week. This is RiRi's first number one album - her previous albums 2007 "Good Girl Gone Bad" landed on number 2 while her 2011 "Talk That Talk" landed on number 3.

The next in line is the country singer, Taylor Swift's. Swift's fourth studio album "Red" peaked at the number 2 spot with 185,000 copies. Sorry Swift fans, it isn't just enough, even though she was "reigning" the Billboard for 3 weeks straight, she still came second.

Meanwhile, the British boy band One Direction slips from number 1 to number 3 with their second studio album "Take Me Home." What happened "Directioners"? Is it the "Haylor" trending topic making everyone lose focus?

Landing on the fourth spot is the American Idol's 11th season winner, Phillip Phillips. Phillips' debut album "The World From the Side of the Moon" peaked at the fourth spot of the Billboard 200 with 169,000 copies sold. Not bad, tho.

Kid Rock's album "Rebel Soul" clinched to the fifth spot behind Phillip Phillips. "Rebel Soul" will be the seventh top 10 album of the 41-year-old musician, which by the way had 146,000 copies sold.
