Google's Android 5.0 Lollipop is considered the biggest update yet to hit devices. The new OS firmware revolutionizes not only the overall design of the interface but also its functionality and coherence. Many reports have already listed the impressive features of the OS update. Lollipop goes beyond its highly praised Material Design offering people some surprising and impressive features.

Hidden Easter Egg

For starters, the hidden Easter Egg is something every new Android user needs to know. For those who have been with OS for quite some time, it is no longer a surprise as Google has a habit of including it throughout its Android updates according to Phone Arena. Some of the past OS upgrades to feature the hidden eggs include the Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sandwich, JellyBean and KitKat.

To find the hidden Easter Egg tap on Settings > About phone > Tap on Android versions 4 times in a quick succession. To access the game, users need to tap the lollipop image a number of times before pressing on it long. Forbes calls it Android's tribute and clone to the Flappy Bird Craze.

Tap and Go

For people who want to transfer their accounts from an Android 4.1+ device to their current Lollipop unit then they can easily pair the devices through NFC. The Tap and Go feature allows people to transfer files via Bluetooth choosing between restoring the backup information generated along with apps and their data.

Priority Apps

Users who wish to receive updates only from specific apps then they can arrange notification with "priority app." According to Forbes, the feature allows people set the app to push notifications. To use this feature, click on Settings > Sound & notification > App notifications. Choose relevant app and access the priority button. People can also stop other notifications under the same feature by choosing "block" instead,

Flashlight

For emergencies, Android 5.0 Lollipop included a flashlight feature. Just go to the notification pane to find the Flashlight toggle. No need to download a third party app.
