Apple had just announced the company's OS called the iOS 6 in the recently concluded 2012 WWDC. The iOS 6 is said to bring about at least 200 features once it has been released in the market. The beta version was also released during the 2012 WWDC and it will be officially released to the public by fall.

Though that is the case, the new features for this OS was already introduced thus bringing up the hype regarding this new update. As mentioned, there are a lot of features and deciding on the top new features is rather difficult but it all depends on needs of the user.

Here are the top new features for Apple's iOS 6:

Siri

Siri, the popular virtual assistant will also experience an upgrade with this new iOS version. Siri is now updated with more information from a wide range of subjects like sports news, film, and daily functions. Aside from that, users can also utilize Siri to open any type of app on the iDevice as well as in Tweeting or posting a Facebook status update.

Facebook Integration

Through this new iOS, social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter would be easier to access without the need of a third party application. Users can just log-in once and they would be able to access these social networking sites easily. Users can also "like" Apps they have downloaded in the App store and share it either through Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking sites.

Apple Maps

Another thing that the iOS 6 brings to Apple devices is their own mapping system. Apple finally decided not to use Google Maps and have their own mapping solution with additional features. These features include turn-by-turn navigation, updated traffic information, and other helpful information while navigating the road.

Facetime

Facetime also gets an upgrade through iOS 6. Facetime can now work through 3G connections which is a big improvement before since Facetime could only work if there is Wi-Fi at both ends. Though Facetime being available through 3G, it is much easier to utilize and access this app.

Safari

Safari, Apple's own web browser also continues to improve with the help of iOS 6. One of which is the Reading List option which enable users to save the specific website in order to read it in a later date without the need for Internet connection. Aside from that, Safari would also get "smart app banners" which indicates if that specific website has an app available in the App Store.
