Apple has listed down the best performing apps of 2014 in the App Store. This list highlights the paid and free apps of Apple iPads and iPhones.

According to the official list, "Facebook Messenger" has taken the numero uno position on the free iPhone app category in 2014. And this app enjoys a rating of two and a half stars in the App Store. Notably, the not-so-impressive star ranking can be attributed to Facebook's decision to get rid of the messaging capabilities on the main Facebook app. This move led the users to download the standalone Facebook Messenger app, notes MacRumors.
