With millions of people hitting the Google search engine home page every day, many may have not known that there exists a plethora of amazing features and tricks on this Web site.

1. Do a Barrel Roll

An article from Gizmopod mentioned "do the barrel roll' in one of the slides. Do to the trick, just go to the Google home page then type "do a barrel roll" in the search box and press enter. Once done, the search results will rotate 360 degrees clockwise just like the barrel roll.

2. Atari Breakout

Business Insider cited "Atari breakout" in its article with a note to be prepared to forget whatever else is supposed to be done. To do this trick, just type "Atari breakout" on the Google image section of the search engine home page and hit enter. The monitor will display actual images of blocks where one WILL be able to play a game by destroying the blocks.

3. Destroy Random Site

Buzzfeed mentioned a trick called "destroy this random Web site" wherein one will be able to blow a certain page to pieces just like space invaders. To do this trick, just type daskeyboard.com on the address bar and press enter. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "destroy this site."

4. Google Alarm

Business Insider also mentioned that the search engine can be turned into an alarm clock. Just go to the Google home page and type any length of time such as 30 minutes or five minutes and add the word "timer" in the end. The Google timer will begin its countdown and will tick off in alarm once the time is up.

5. Flight Tracker

Gizmopod also stated that one can already keep track of a certain flight without going to the airline's Web page itself. To do this feature, just type the airline and flight number on the search bar of Google home page and press enter. The flight's departure time and arrival time to the desired destination will automatically show up in the search results.

6. Arcade Game

Buzzfeed also mentioned that one can play an arcade game called Zerg Rush right into the Google search bar. To do this feature, just type "zerg rush" and a playable arcade game will with tiny "o" letters will launch. One has to point the mouse to the characters to prevent the search results from being destroyed.

7. Search face only

According to Gizmopod, one can narrow down the image search results by selecting the face option on the Type portion. With this trick, only the face will come out in the search results when one search for a certain person like Kim Kardashian or Miley Cyrus.

8. Explore the Universe

Business Inside also cited a feature called Google Sky wherein one can explore the universe up above. Just type www.google.com/sky in the address bar and see a plethora of images which were captured via images from NASA satellite, the Hubble Telescope and the Sloan Digital Sky Survey.

9. Calculate a Celebrity's bacon number

Buzzfeed revealed that one can calculate the bacon number of any celebrity on Google. To do this trick, just type the name of the celebrity on the search bar and add the phrase "bacon number." For instance, one can type "Michael Jackson bacon number" and see the surprising result.

10. Proxy Server

Gizmopod also shared a secret trick when the school or office prohibits the access of certain sites like Facebook or Twitter. To get through the block, just type "cache:WEBSITENAME.com" in the Google search bar portion. The Web site will serve as proxy and allow one to easily access the prohibited site.
