Who would have thought that boy-next-door actor Tom Cruise can actually carry a tune? It may sound impossible but even wife Katie Holmes has attested to husband’s newfound talent, describing his singing voice “incredible”.

Tom Cruise stars as the aging rock star Stacee Jaxx in the upcoming film, Rock of Ages a film requiring a stark transformation of Tom and it seems he has stunned everyone in the set with it, including his wife.

Katie Holmes according to Access Hollywood is amazed at her husband’s vocal abilities.
“[Tom] is such an amazing performer,” Katie was quoted as telling Access Hollywood at the 2011 Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Thursday. “The voice is incredible.”

For this surprising singing voice, Cruise has reportedly been conducting voice lessons with vocal guru, Ron Anderson.

And everyone wants to take a peek at what’s become of Tom Cruise in his latest role. But not everyone is welcome on the movie set. Photographers, who wants to take the shot of the astonishing image of the Mission Impossible actor but his producers are very ‘firm’ not to allow anybody go near the set.

But a peek of the actor, a courtesy of TomCruise.com shows the actor muscled up as he appeared on stage shirtless, with his long hair swaying in his moves, flowing to his shoulders said, Billboard.com

E!Online described the actor “donning tight black pants, black boots and rocker-chic jewelry”. Added to his new ensemble is Cruise’s bulging bicep highlighted in the image with “a rock on” hand gesture and a prominent dagger-shaped tattoo on his forearm.

The actor is now filming at Revolution Live in downtown Fort Lauderdale. The Lauderdale authorities are alerted by the movie producers who want to keep the actor and his transformation from the sneaky lenses of the photographers.

Rock of Ages is a film by Offspring Entertainment, * Corner Store Entertainment, Maguire Entertainment and the New Line Cinema. It will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

The film is an adaptation of the Broadway hit “Rock of Ages, directed by Adam Shankman. Joining Cruise are Paul Giamatti and Malin Akerman, Russell Brand, Alec Baldwin, and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Written by Chris D'Arienzo (screenplay), Chris D'Arienzo (musical book), Rock of Ages is expected to be released in U.S. theaters in June 2012.
