In the previous week, Apple claimed to have new strong quarter, posting as many as 61 million iPhone sales. The iPhone 6 Plus has proven to be a huge hit among customers. Further, IDC noted that there were 61.2 iPhones sold in the previous quarter accounting for 18.2 percent global smartphone share - the previous record was at 15.2 percent in 2014. According to Seeking Alpha, Apple launching three new phones this year not only keeps up hope on increasing market shares rather it can also encourage conversions. Further the site claimed: "When you are selling roughly 200 million or so units a year, if even 5% want a smaller version, you're talking about 10 million potential sales. You can't ignore those consumers."

“This is the perfect time for Apple to go with three new phones. Apple can launch two new larger screen phones, and we'll call them the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus for now." Whereas Apple may discontinue the 5s and 5c lines, the company stands to gain releasing a 4-inch iPhone model with upgraded specs.

Expected features of the iPhone 7 line include: DLSR-like camera, revolutionary aluminium build offering 60 percent harder capabilities than existing model, curved screen, 4K resolution and A9 chip.
