Thor was noticeably absent in “Captain America: Civil War,” and he’s got a good explanation for it. In a hilarious skit, Australian actor Chris Hemsworth as Thor says he just needed a “me time” Down Under with a reluctant roommate. The video also explains where Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), a.k.a. The Hulk, was when the team was divided into #TeamCap and #TeamIronMan.

The three-minute video, first released at the San Diego Comic-Con in July, is now online. It was part of a larger reel for “Thor: Ragnarok,” teasing what Thor was up to while his superhero friends fought each other in the events of “Civil War.”

As it turned out, Thor Odinson is hanging out in Australia with his new regular guy roommate, Darryl Jacobson, who appears unenthusiastic about sharing his flat with the Asgardian demi-god. Thor disturbs Darryl at his work, asking him to write an “electronic letter” to Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans) and Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.).

Thor also shows the viewers his room, wherein he has a mini bed for his Mj ö lnir and a plan of action in defeating “the purple man in the floating chair” (Thanos) and figuring out infinity stones.

He and Bruce, who was also missing from “Civil War,” then meet up for coffee to talk about cutoff shorts when Bruce receives a call from Stark. It seems Stark has been bribing Bruce unsuccessfully in a bid to have The Hulk join #TeamIronMan. Neither Stark nor Rogers has asked Thor to join their team, though.

“Am I disappointed that they didn’t invite me to fight with them? Uhm… no!” Thor denies in the clip. “I’ll just start my own team. Team Thor, of course, and it would just be me and Darryl. Just us.”

This isn’t the first time Hemsworth has starred in a hilarious clip about Thor being left out in “Captain America: Civil War.” In April, he filmed a 30-second clip to sulk about not being invited to fight alongside the Avengers team.

Hemsworth will return as Thor in “Thor: Ragnarok,” to be released in November 2017. Ruffalo joins the cast, which includes Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Karl Urban as Skurge, Cate Blanchett as Hela, and Idris Elba as Heimdall.
