No one would ever forget the live finale of "Australia's Next Top Model" last year with the wrong announcement of its host Sarah Murdoch being the highlight of the event. For this year, the top-rated series is featuring stick-thin bodies to overshadow last year's controversy.

In one photo shoot at Bondi Beach, the show's finalists Montana Cox, Simone Holtznagel and Liz Braithwhite were shown way thinner than they used to be when they started for the contest. The three 18-year-olds have come to their own defense with their controversial body frames by attesting that they have just been working out double time on their bodies.

The season of this year's show was stuffed with weight-related controversies. There was even one contestant, Alissandra Moone, who at only 57kg was criticized by one judge for being still like an "overstuffed luggage". The young model said the show should be responsible for what it is teaching its audience of young girls.

Perry, the particular judge who was questioned about this issue, clarified that he was referring to the model's skills in posing within a limited amount of space and not on her size. But such explanation only triggered more anger from Peter Garrett, the Minister for Youth.

According to Garrett, such messages should be delivered appropriately so as to not confuse the young audiences. Even another eliminated contestant, Rachel Riddell, was advised by her agency to work more in the gym. The majority's favorite to take the win is Montana Cox and was even eyed by Murdoch herself during the early parts of the show.

You can catch the finals night of Australia's Next Top Model over at Fox 8, 7:30 p.m.
