Fil-Am singing sensations Thia Megia and Maria Aragon sang the National anthems of the United States and Philippines, respectively.

Former "American Idol" finalist Thia Megia was chosen to sing the National Anthem of the United States; while YouTube sensation and Lady Gaga protégé Maria Aragon was handpicked by many Pacquiao to sing the Philippine national Anthem.

Thia Megia said that she was grateful for the opportunity to sing the National Anthem in front of thousands of people in the MGM grand and to those at home.

Wearing a pink terno, Aragon sang "Lupang Hinirang" before a huge crowd at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Before going to Las Vegas, Aragon said she went to the National Historical Institute in her recent visit to the Philippines to make sure that she follows the national anthem's original lyrics and march tempo.

Aragon rose to fame after her rendition of Lady Gaga's song "Born This Way" on YouTube caught the pop superstar's attention. She had a duet with Lady Gaga in the latter's concert in Toronto a few month's after.
