The producers of “Terminator: Genisys” have released a new trailer of the upcoming movie. The video shows the actor J.K. Simons as Detective O’Brien for the first time. The video also includes a scene featuring Jason Clarke talking about what the heroes in the movie are up against. [Spoilers alert!]

The role of J.K. Simons may focus on comic relief in “Terminator: Genisys.” The trailer of the movie shows Detective O’Brien wanting to understand the situation. The character understands what is happening around him is something “really complicated” but quickly agrees when Emilia Clarke explains the situation simplistically by saying they are trying to “stop the end of the world.”

The trailer also shows Jason Clarke as John Connor, talking about how Skynet is an uncompromising enemy that can’t be bargained with or reasoned with. He talks about a “storm coming that won’t be stopped.” The heroes in the movie will have to rely on brute force in order to stop the machines from killing all the people in the world.

The heroes in “Terminator: Genisys” will attempt to stop a nuclear holocaust that the self-aware computer program Skynet intends to unleash on the world. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character in the movie will have to take on at least two robots sent by Skynet in the movie. The T-800 and the T-1000 sent from the future can be seen in the trailer.

Jai Courtney will be playing the role of Kyle Reese, a soldier who fights alongside John Connor in the future war against the machines. The role was previously played by Michael Biehn in the 1984 movie from the franchise. Byung-hun Lee will be playing the T-1000 in the upcoming movie, a role played by Robert Patrick in the 1991 movie from the franchise.

Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor will be seen in a more action-oriented role in “Terminator: Genisys” than what the fans of the franchise saw in the 1984 movie. John Connor can be seen telling Kyle in one of the trailers that his mother was “scared and weak” at the time which Kyle will be travelling back to. The upcoming movie will be revisiting the timeline of the original movies and there will be some changes that the fans will get to see.
