Apple's array of updates and product releases still catch attention of avid fans and users. Android, on the other hand, also leads with its added features and innovation.

In an insight shared by Pocket-Lint.com, ten reasons were given why iPhone users need to ditch their popular device. The following factors will reassure consumers that the shift will be for the better.

The Choices

The biggest difference between iPhone and Android are the number of choices. Obviously, Android offers more choices for different types of consumers fitting their different needs.Android phones like Samsung Galaxy S5, Motorola Droid Turbo,Sony Experia Z3 and LG G3 are some best choices for the picky consumers. It is also good to note that the more manufacturers using the platform means more competition, which will result to price cut downs.

Screen Sizes

Apple offers big screened devices such as the iPhone 6, which has a 4.7-inch screen and the iPhone 6 Plus which features a 5.5-inch display. Some consumers want bigger and some want smaller screens. Others want a screen with easier to use keyboard and some want more vivid watching experience. There are even screens with unique curvature like that of Samsung and LG, which is something Apple does not have in its line.

Battery

Users are trapped with the non-removable, non-swappable battery of the iPhone and not to forget the not so durable battery which can only last for a day. Unlike the battery performance of Android devices plus its battery saving features and more importantly, Android allows users to carry a spare battery.

Display Quality

The Retina display of the iPhone 4 was definitely impressive when it was released a few years ago and it has managed to reach 401ppi. Android phones on the other hand have reached a whopping 534ppi used by LG's G3. Several manufacturers have also built a level of expertise when it comes to building their own panels like that of Samsung's Super AMOLED, LG's HD-IPS+ LCD and Sony's Bravia. All of which result in vivid, crisp and colourful screens.

Flexible Operating System

Apple is considered as a closed wall developer and has chosen to be as such in order to ensure smooth runs with its own apps and its devices. Android on the other hand has been more open which made it more app friendly and makes more apps available for every need.

Money Saving

Apple without a doubt is expensive, that is why it is considered one of the richest companies in the world. Consumers can find Android devices to be budget-friendly while the most expensive Androids are definitely worth the cost.

Sensors

Since Android devices toughly compete with each other, each one has to out-think one another by coming up with additional features like heart rate sensors, fingerprint readers, eye-trackers and even smart Knock Code unlocking. Health tracking is a now a vital part in users' everyday lives that is why Android made sure to provide such service to its avid users.

Smartwatches

Apple's much awaited Apple Watch is set to be released by early next year while its Android rivals like Sony has already produced several smartwatch lines and even Samsung now offers own Gear line which includes the Gear Live for Android Wear and the Gear Fit for activity tracking. Unsurprisingly, Android wearables other than watches and bands are now available like Google Glass or Vuzix M100 smartglasses.

Smart Cases

Smart cases may seem minor like the camera hole in a flip case. But these smart cases are of big help and is a great idea from Samsung. Smart cases are now evident on the majority of Android devices which help save energy and protect the screen.

TV Platforms

Stepping outside of the box, that is exactly what Philips has created, a TV with an Android operating system. This idea will make sharing of contents between an Android phone and an Android TV a smoother experience. While for Apple, a speculation of entering the TV market is still to be confirmed by the tech giant.

Finally, the Street.com also made its own list of the top Android phones that are best to use an Apple user decides to ditch his iPhone. The long list includes Google Nexus 5, Samsung Galaxy Note Edge and HTC One M8 among many. All of these said, consumers are left with two choices, to stick with iPhone or transfer to Android.
