“Teen Wolf” Season 5A officially introduced the character called “The Desert Wolf” in the show's eighth episode titled “Ouroboros.” Marisol Nichols, who portrays the mysterious “Teen Wolf” character, and series creator Jeff Davis talked about the Malia-Desert Wolf storyline in the first and second half of the MTV series. “Teen Wolf” Season 5B will return in January 2016. [Spoiler Alert!]

In an interview with TVLine, Marisol Nichols shared that she has received an insane outpour of support from the “Teen Wolf” fans after getting cast in the MTV series as the Desert Wolf. However, Nichols admitted that the positive reaction of fans to her addition to the “Teen Wolf” cast made her worried.

“I was a little scared because I started getting so many tweets after that first announcement — like, an insane outpouring from fans. So I thought, ‘Wow, people really love this show. They’re going to hate me!’ But they’ve been supportive: ‘I love you, but please don’t hurt Malia,’” Nichols told TVLine.

Nichols, 41, further revealed during the interview that she would love to work with J.R. Bourne, who portrays the recurring werewolf hunter character named Chris Argent. “That’d be wonderful. Just give me fight scenes, mess up my face, give me some claws and I’d be in heaven,” Nichols shared.

Another “Teen Wolf” cast member that Nichols looks forward to having scenes with in the second half of Season 5 is Shelley Hennig, who portrays Malia Tate. Nichols thinks that the scenes between the Desert Wolf and her were-coyote daughter, Malia, will be really interesting to watch.

Furthermore, Nichols is certain that she will have scenes with Tyler Posey, who portrays True Alpha Scott McCall, and Dylan O’Brien, who portrays Stiles Stilinski. “He seems to be sort of a caretaker of Malia,” Nichols added.

Meanwhile, series creator Jeff Davis teased in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that Malia’s search for the Desert Wolf will continue in “Teen Wolf” Season 5B. Davis further teased that Malia will find out that Theo Raeken, played by Cody Christian, has more of an advantage when it comes to dealing with the Desert Wolf than Scott, the leader of her pack, so the situation will cause some tense alliances.
