The death of supernatural creatures in Beacon Hills continues to rise so Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) and his pack figure out who is behind the Dead Pool hit list and how to stop them. Aside from the problem on the hit list, the True Alpha werewolf also continues to deal with his beta werewolf, Liam Dunbar (Dylan Sprayberry).

Spoiler Alert: This feature contains major spoilers on "Teen Wolf" Season 4, Episode 5 titled "I.E.D." The hunt for the supernatural creatures is still on as Violet (Samantha Logan) targets a blonde female werewolf at the school bus. The target managed to knock out Violet in order to escape but it was Violet's partner, Garrett (Mason Dye), who killed the supernatural creature.

Scott, Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) and Sheriff Stilinski (Linden Ashby) figure out that the numbers beside the names on the Dead Pool is the amount of money paid for a kill which sums up to the $117 million stolen from Peter Hale (Ian Bohen). Lydia (Holland Roden) tries to get the keyword for the rest of the hit list with her banshee powers but failed in doing so.

Malia (Shelley Hennig) suggested that Lydia needs to get help from another banshee and Meredith (Maya Eshet), the banshee patient at Eichen House, came to Lydia's mind. Liam begins to feel the changes in his body like strength and the anger that the freshman student feels amplifies his werewolf abilities and transformation.

Scott had a brief conversation with Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) where the young Alpha werewolf admitted he is not sure if he can handle his beta werewolf and their current problem with the hit list and their still unknown enemy called "The Benefactor." However, Derek assures Scott that he is going to be good at leading his pack.

At Coach Finstock's (Orny Adams) class, Stiles figured out that the supernatural creature assassin is a member of the lacrosse team after comparing the end of Coach Finstock's lacrosse stick with the marks found on the dead body of the blonde female werewolf. A lacrosse match is coming up and Stiles want Scott and Kira (Arden Cho) out of the game but the two decided to face the threat.

Violet and Garrett planned their next supernatural attack with a different type of wolfsbane on Garrett's lacrosse stick weapon. The Davenport lacrosse team arrived at Beacon Hills High for their match and it turns out their leader, Brett (Cody Saintgnue), is Liam's rival in his old school.

Scott and Stiles had to calm down Liam in the locker room shower after his confrontation with Brett. The two finally learned that Liam has been psychologically evaluated with the Intermittent Explosive Disorder (I.E.D.). "This just gets better," Stiles stated.

However, Liam was able to help Scott and Stiles with their problem on the hit list when he told them who paid for the delivered keg at Lydia's lake house party.

Deputy Parrish (Ryan Kelley) found Meredith and brought her to the station where Lydia asked the banshee for help. Meredith gave Lydia some numbers and used them as letters in order to crack the second code for the list.

Lydia cracked the code and it was the name of her ex-boyfriend, Aiden (Max Carver). More names appeared on the list and Deputy Parrish is on it which means he is a supernatural creature all along.

Meanwhile, the lacrosse match started and the conflict between Liam and Brett ended in physical injury. Liam had a broken bone that Scott immediately fixed while Brett was taken off the field to the locker room.

It turns out Brett is the beta werewolf that Garrett targeted during the game and not Liam, Scott or Kira. Violet entered the locker room to finish the job but Scott arrived in time to stop the assassin and knock her out.

Derek showed Chris Argent (JR Bourne) the Hale family vault where his sister Kate (Jill Wagner) was last seen. Chris revealed that he has a place where he could take Kate but Derek does not want Chris to do that yet. Derek explained that he wants to take back the things that Kate Argent took from him like the colour of his eyes and his sense of smell. "I'm losing my power," Derek revealed to Chris.

Then, Araya Calavera (Ivonne Coll) paid Chris Argent a visit to remind him of the hunter's code. Chris was initially hesitant to say it out loud because he honors Allison's (Crystal Reed) code which is "We protect those who cannot protect themselves." However, Araya's constant badgering made Chris Argent finally say the hunter's code which is "We hunt those who hunt us."
