So far this month, Taylor Swift has been sweeping all the country awards she's been nominated for.

After a big win at the Country Music Awards, where she took home the Entertainer of the Year trophy, the 21-year-old also bagged the main prize at the American Music Award for Artist of the Year.

Aside from that, the singer also won Favourite Country Album and Favourite Female Country Performer.

"I just am so shocked and stunned and absolutely out-of-my-mind happy about this," she said. "The fact that the fans have been there for me -- more and more each year -- it just blows my mind.

"To have gotten to win entertainer of the year at the CMA Awards was just absolutely one of the most amazing things that has ever happened to me. And then a few weeks later, here is another one of the most amazing things that has happened to me," the "Fearless" singer gushed backstage at the AMAs as reported by cmt.com.

Swift dispensed some advice for fans who may want to follow her lead.

"I think the advice I would give is to see your hero and get inspiration from all your heroes, but try to be something completely different from your heroes. For me, I think that writing my own songs was a way to create what I wanted to create ... about my life," Swift recommended.

The country star will finish her tour performances for the year this week at New York's Madison Square Garden on Nov. 21-22.

Other winners include Maroon 5 (Favourite Duo or Group), Nicki Minaj (for both Favourite Hip Hop Artist and Favourite Rap/Hip-Hop Album), Rihanna (Favourite Soul/R&B Album), Lady Antebellum (Favourite Country Band), Jennifer Lopez (Favourite Latin Artist), Hot Chelle Rae (Favourite New Artist), Beyonce (Favourite Soul/R&B Female), Bruno Mars (Favourite Pop/Rock Male) and Adele (Favourite Pop/Rock Album). A Special Award went out to Katy Perry for being the first woman with 5 consecutive #1 hits from the same album.
