Celebrity Dirty Laundry is reporting that Taylor Swift is showing her jealous side as she feels threatened by new competitor, teen country star Kacey Musgraves. The gossip site claims that the "Red" singer is seeing red because the younger country singer won the Best Country Album this year, where Taylor Swift was also nominated in and apparently lost.

The site used a report from National Enquirer to push its claims.

"Taylor is used to having all of the young country stars bowing down before her, but Kacey barely gives her the time of day. Taylor doesn't like Kacey, and the feeling is certainly mutual.," reports the National Enquirer.

Their competition did not start this year. Last year, they led the nominees for the Country's Music Association Awards, where they both got six impressive nominations, according to Rollingstone.com.

It does not help that Katy Perry seems very impressed with Kacey Musgraves too. Katy Perry and Musgraves crossed paths when Musgraves released the first single from "Same Trailer Different Park," "Merry Go 'Round," in September 2012 and Perry expressed her love by tweeting about it.

"I understand that I have a lot of followers on Twitter, and one tweet can go a distance," said Perry.

This year, the two are paired for the "CMT Crossroads" concert series. This series pairs country acts with artists outside their genre. The show will celebrate its 50th episode on June 13 and they will be showing Kacey Musgraves and Katy Perry together. The show will air 10 p.m. ET on CMT, Billboard.com reports.

The intimate performance will tape in Los Angeles this month. The show will also air on CMT's sister Viacom networks VH1, MTV, MTV Hits and Palladia at later dates, which are yet to be announced.

Katy Perry and Kacey Musgraves just agree on so many things even though they are not from the same genre. They claimed they both come from conservative backgrounds and yet their families support their careers all the way.

"My parents aren't crazy conservative," said Musgraves, adding, "they're actually pretty open-minded. But my grandparents are, and where I'm from, East Texas, is the Bible Belt."

She claims that this allows her and Katy Perry to have common footing.

"It gave us perspective because we both have that. But we both left those worlds."

"We left those worlds, but we kept our compasses," states Perry, adding, "I think [Kacey] straddles the line like I straddle the line of appropriateness and still maintaining a sexuality that is healthy and exciting. And it's not all about that. It's about sending inspiring and empowering messages and being a think-for-yourself type of woman."

They also love each other's songwriting.

"At our cores, we both think a lot about narrative and characters and the subjects," says Katy. On the other hand, Musgraves says "Teenage Dream" is "the best pop song ever written."

"If you have the lyrics first, then it doesn't matter what the hell you do as far as fireworks or showiness," stated Musgraves.

With Katy Perry and Kacey Musgraves so close, Celebrity Dirty Laundry claims that Taylor Swift may be seeing a lot more of Kacey Musgraves whether she likes to or not. Kacey becoming BFFs with Katy Perry, means the newcomer will start partying with the elite A-list in the music industry and bumping into Taylor Swift all the time as a result.
