Taylor Swift says Prince William is "so cool" after she attended a charity event On Nov. 26 at London's Kensington Palace during the Winter Whites Gala, a fundraiser to benefit homeless youth. She sang on stage with Prince William and Jon Bon Jovi's "Livin On A Prayer." Swift was there to help raise awareness for the charity and said she found William "awesome" and "so cool."

"I am so excited. I don't think I have ever played in a palace before. So it will be really wonderful," she added. "This evening is so special... it is for a charity that as well as being very important to Prince William is also very important to me."

She was overwhelmed by the exquisiteness of Kensington Palace, describing it as a winter wonderland and revealed that she was fortunate just to be present. "It's positively magical here," "There are fairy lights and there is fake snow falling from the sky and everything is just gorgeous. I am just very lucky to be here." She said.

Jon Bon Jovi was delighted to be part of the event. He believes youth homelessness to be a serious issue. "What's important for me is to help break the cycle that leads to poverty," "And to be invited to highlight it in such illustrious surroundings couldn't be better." He said

Since 2005 Prince William has been a patron of Centrepoint and his late mother Princess Diana was also a patron of the charity. So this was a cause very close to the heart of William's late mother Princess Diana.

In true Tay fashion, the Red singer dole up her best "lame" dance moves - which she recently told HollywoodLife.com she "loves" to exhibit at awards shows while Prince William actually let his princely hair down and cut loose. The duke was seen adjusting his bowtie and enjoying the show.

Also in typical Taylor fashion, she was totally modest and thrilled to be in the presence of so many big names. According to the UK's Daily Mail here's what she said to the fundraiser attendees:

"I'm Taylor, it is very nice to meet you, especially under these circumstances. It is my first time playing at Kensington Palace or any other palace for that matter. ... I have to thank you, Prince William, for having me. It's amazing. To call attention to this age group especially, teens and young adults."

Taylor Swift, performed her hits "Trouble," "Love Story" and "15," and said she was privileged to perform at the palace.

As for her thoughts on Prince William, Taylor was allegedly pleased to discover he has a great sense of humour.

"He was very funny," Taylor told reporters. "I was really happy he was funny."

And according to one guest, Prince William more or less treated everyone in Miley-style twerking.

Olivia Sabat who was also performing at the gala told The Mirror: "He was like: 'would it put you off if I was dancing?' and I said 'no, I want you to listen - dancing and listening'.

"And the prince said 'yeah that's fine' and then he started doing a little twerking. "I said 'no thanks, no twerking thanks'."

As Prince William shares his mother's taste in music and in food as well so the cutest and most interesting detail of the night: Royal Chef Darren McGrady, who also worked for Diana, tweeted about William performing with Jon Bon Jovi - and how it reminded him of the late princess:

Used to get tired of #PrincessDiana blasting out #BonJovi at #KensingtonPalace Now #William is doing it too #HisMothersSon #LivingOnAPrayer
