Taylor Swift is definitely in cloud nine right now. She has been recently recognised as the 'Woman of the Year for 2014' by Billboard Magazine. The honour has been bestowed to the female artist for shaping and inspiring the music industry with her work over the past few years.

As reported by E!News, the singer had 60 entries in the Billboard Hot 100 list since her debut in 2006. This has been the second time Swift received this award, which makes her the only artist to bag such kind of title twice. The last time she won the title was in 2011.

Previous winners of the same award include Katy Perry, Pink and Beyoncé. She will be picking up the trophy on December 12 in New York in a star studded event.

In a recent interview given to British Vogue, the singer appeared quite content and happy in the present stage of her life. "I'm 24, I'm single, feeling very independent", gushed the young talented musician. "A lot of fun things have happened in my life."

Swift has become a household name globally with a bucket of outstanding achievements. She started with the country music genre, but soon gained recognition in pop music as well. Her latest single 'Shake It Off' claimed the top spot in the Billboard consistently for two weeks in September. Before this achievement, her last single to top the chart came in 2012 called 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together'.

As per latest reports from Liberty Voice, Swift is considered by the publication as the bestselling digital artist till date. Her next album '1989' is due to release by the end of October, as well as a much awaited one by the music lovers.

Swift has set some incredible records in the music industry that made her a phenomenal artist for a long time now. With seven Grammy awards under her belt, all her studio albums have sold about 4 million copies in the U.S. alone.

The singer has a jam-packed schedule for the next few months starting with an appearance in the X-Factor finale show, followed by release of her new album, tours in different cities and attendance in the prestigious 'The Billboard Woman of the Year' presentation ceremony at Cipriana Wall Street in December.
