Months before “Orange is the New Black” Season 4 premieres in June 2016, Taryn Manning took to Instagram to share an artwork featuring the cast of the Netflix series. The actress plays Tiffany “Pennsatucky” Doggett in the drama series created by Jenji Kohan.

“Love this art work! So cute! #oitnb #thanksgiving #cartoons #friendships,” Manning captioned the photo of the artwork. Posted on Thanksgiving, it shows a sketch of the main characters of “OITNB” and a big turkey on a plate.

The first episode of “OITNB” Season 4 is directed by “Finding Julia” director Andrew McCarthy. The episode will feature Taylor Schilling, Alan Eisenberg, Stephanie J. Block, Danielle Brooks, Jackie Cruz, Lea DeLaria, Shannon Esper, Kimiko Glenn, Juri Henley-Cohn, Vicky Jeudy, Eve Lora, Eden Malyn, Albania Matos, Amelie McKendry and Emma Myles, among others.

In a recent interview with Los Angeles Confidential, Manning talked about what she likes most about her “OITNB” character. She said she liked Pennsatucky’s vulnerability and real heart and pointed out that the character’s true self is finally overcoming her overconfidence and ego that come from her fear.

Manning described Pennsatucky as someone who is hard to read and explained that the character’s faith has floundered a bit in “OITNB” Season 3. She added that her character is starting to realise many things about her upbringing with a single mother and his brothers and its effects on how she relates to people, particularly men.

In real life, Manning and his brother formed a band Boomkat. The “OITNB” actress revealed that she and her brother are fans of Britney Spears. She revealed that her brother would always make her listen to “Baby One More Time.”

In another interview with Details, Manning said working with Spears in “Crossroads” was a one of a kind experience. She said there was uproar anytime the “Womanizer” singer walked across the set.

In the same interview, Manning also said she had a great connection with Eminem, who she worked with in “8 Mile.” Eminem included one of the songs of Boomkat in the soundtrack of the 2002 film.
