‘Taken 3' Plot Details: Bryan Mills Hunted Down, Wanted For Murder
Liam Neeson will reprise his role as ex-CIA agent Bryan Mills in "Taken 3." The third franchise will take on a different twist in the story. Instead of saving a family member, this time Mills tries to clear his name after being accused of murder.
In an interview with USA Today, Liam Neeson revealed what his character is up against in "Taken 3." Liam Neeson reportedly tried to be cautious with his answers to avoid revealing spoilers. However, the actor hinted that someone from the government is out to hunt Bryan Mills. Instead of being the hunter, this time Mills takes the opposing side and becomes the hunted. "I have to go on the run, I'll put it that way, from the not-so-lawful types and the lawful authorities," he said.
Forests Whitaker, a newcomer to the franchise, has been cast to play as a law enforcement officer. He will be hunting down the ex-CIA agent in the third movie. Furthermore, Liam Neeson also addressed his character's age in "Taken 3." In order to defeat his enemies quickly, the actor claimed Bryan uses the "dirtiest moves possible to finish."
"Taken 1" was all about Bryan Mills rescuing his daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) from her abductors. In "Taken 2," his ex-wife (Famke Janssen) was also held captive. This time though, the third installment will not involve any kidnappings.
According to Screenrant, Liam Neeson confirmed in the interview that Kim will be not be kidnapped nor travel outside the U.S. The actor said in jest that "Bryan Mills would have to be certifiably locked up for bad parenting" if her daughter gets captured again in the third installment.
"Taken 3" may be the end to Bryan Mills, according to Liam Neeson. The actor cited his sensitivity to comments about his age in portraying the character. However, the 62-year-old also hinted his interest in a fourth sequel when he claimed, "I keep myself pretty fit and my knees are still great."
"Taken 3" comes to theatres on Jan. 9, 2015. Watch Liam Neeson's interview below.
