“The Real Housewives of Sydney” doesn’t begin anytime soon, but Lisa Oldfield has set off fierce rivalry with “The Real Housewives of Melbourne” Gamble Breaux.

Oldfield was revealed as part of the official seven casts of “The Real Housewives of Sydney.” All is good with the country’s real housewives until shots were fired when former politician David Oldfield’s wife went out of her way to slam their show’s Melbourne counterpart.

In a recent interview, Oldfield was quoted by Pedestrian.tv as she compared her show’s casts and “The Real Housewives of Melbourne’s.” She said she wouldn’t even dare compare herself with any of the Melbourne casts.

“They’re you know look the benchmark is so low.” Oldfield said. “They come from you know, an also-ran city like Melbourne.”

She then said that Melbourne has only their upside down river to boot, but then it’s heavily polluted. So Oldfield said, “They'd have to come up here because I certainly wouldn't go down there.”

The interview most certainly reached Melbourne, and “The Real Housewives of Melbourne” Gamble Breaux lashed out at Lisa Oldfield in a social media tirade in Facebook.

The 43-year-old slams Oldfield, referring to her as “Anne Winters wannabe,” which is most likely an offensive pun to Oldfield having similar hairstyle with Vogue editor Anna Wintour. Aside from that, there’s also a more explicit nickname Breaux called Oldfield, which is “stupid old cow.”

“Good luck riding off our ratings you stupid old cow.” Breaux wrote.

According to The Daily Telegraph, Oldfield has already defended the things she said in the interview. She claims that it was all for the show’s drama and clarified that she does not have anything against the city of Melbourne or “The Real Housewives of Melbourne’s” casts.

“It is reality TV, we are not saving lives.” Oldfield said. “My original comments were to create a bit of drama in good fun.”

“The Real Housewives of Sydney” is slated to run on Foxtel’s Arena Channel in 2017.
