Australian producer, Emile Sherman is among the three Oscars awardees who went to the stage Sunday evening to claim their price and they got off the stage big winners as they topped the night going home with the Best Picture award for “The King Speech”.

With Sherman are his two other co-producers of the film - - Iain Canning and Gareth Unwin - - featuring the crippling stammering of monarch, King George VI, played by British actor, Colin Firth. "The Bridget Jones' Diary" star also bested fellow-nominees for the best actor award in the lead role category.

Sherman is the founder of Ocean Pictures, described in official website as a feature film production and distribution company. The Australian producer who holds a Masters degree in English Literature and a Bachelor of Law degree, had worked with great actors including Kenneth Branagh for “Rabbit Proof Fence”; Dennis Hopper and Melanie Griffith for Paul Goodman’s “The Night We Called it a Day” and Rod Freedman’s award-winning documentary, “Uncle Chatzkel”.

The Oscar-winning producer holds a Masters Degree in English Literature, a Bachelor of Law Degree, and had a background in journalism before entering the film industry.

Sherman will get busier after Oscars as his film production is due to start filming “Disgrace” featuring A-list actor, John Malkovich.
