The Surface 3 laptop-tablet hybrid that was announced recently will be available for purchase in the coming month. Best Buy along with various retailers has already started receiving the pre-orders for Surface 3. Best Buy is also running a new promotional offer that allows users to trade-in their working tablet to avail a discount of $200.

The trade-in offer for the Surface Pro 3 will provide users with a minimum $50 gift card from the retailer giant. Moreover, Best Buy is also giving a coupon worth $150 to buy the Surface Pro 3. Users can redeem the coupon by April 25.

Best Buy has a dedicated page to check the trade-in value of any tablet to avail the deal. For instance, a Surface RT 32 GB tablet in working condition with light wear and scratches. It will fetch a trade-in value of $62. The same tablet with heavy wear and scratches but in working condition will reduce the trade-in value to $18.60. Lastly, there is no trade-in value for any non-working tablet.

According to the terms and conditions of the trade-in program, a single person will be limited to trade-in not more than two trade-in tablets. Also, one transaction will allow user to avail only 1 coupon. The offer started on April 12 and is scheduled to expire on April 18. The offer is available both online and offline stores of Best Buy and it is restricted to users in the U.S.

Rumours are rife that Microsoft may unveil the successor for Surface Pro 3 during the Microsoft Build Conference 2015 that is to be held from April 29 to May 1, states the International Business Times report dated April 15. Since the Surface Pro 3 has helped the Redmond giant to make huge profits, the successor model is one of the most awaited devices of the year.

The report claims that the Build Conference will be a platform to unveil the Surface Pro 4. It will go in mass production phase in June and finally when the Windows 10 is ready a release in the second of the year, the Surface Pro 4 will arrive preloaded with it.
