Jared Padalecki, star of the CW TV series “Supernatural” ("SPN"), recently went public with his personal battle with anxiety and depression. Padalecki talked about the difficulties he encountered along the way and how he copes with it. He also launched the third “Always Keep Fighting” (AKF) charity T-shirt campaign to help others who are suffering from the same condition.

Padalecki, 33, launched the “AKF - Part III” campaign to provide assistance for the nonprofit organisation “To Write Love on Her Arms.” The organisation offers support for people who are struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.

With “Always Keep Fighting” ending in two days, Padalecki expressed gratitude to the people who supported his project. He also posted a message on his official Twitter account about it, with a photo of him as his “Supernatural” character, Sam.

“Feeling beat up, but we know Sam will #AlwsysKeepFighting :). Only 2 days left of http://represent.com/jared !” Padalecki tweeted.

Padalecki explained in an interview with E! News that the charity campaign is more than just the number of T-shirts bought. It is also about spreading the word that people are not really alone during their struggle.

Padalecki admitted in the interview that he struggles with anxiety and depression because he allowed himself to get overwhelmed with too much on his plate. Keeping himself busy with work was the only way Padalecki knew when it comes to dealing with his anxiety. But it eventually caught up with him.

According to Padalecki, he spent this summer learning not to be too stressed out and how to focus on enjoying the “here and now.” The former “Gilmore Girls” actor has returned to the set of “Supernatural” to film the new episodes for season 11.

Padalecki, who portrays Sam Winchester in the CW TV series, looks forward to working again with his “Supernatural” family.

“It's great! It's wonderful to be a part of something bigger than myself,” Padalecki stated in the E! News interview.

Padalecki talked about the upcoming storyline of “Supernatural” Season 11 during an interview with Examiner at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con. The “SPN” fans will see how the Winchester brothers deal with the arrival of the Darkness because it is something that predates heaven, hell and God.

Padalecki teased it will be nice to see that there are going to be problems in heaven, hell and Earth because of the Darkness. Watch Jared Padalecki return as Sam Winchester in “Supernatural” Season 11 which will premiere on Wednesday night, Oct. 7, at the CW Network.
