“Supernatural” is welcoming another character in season 12. “Twin Peaks” actress Alicia Witt has revealed that she will be joining the long-running show as someone who has a “relationship” with Castiel (Misha Collins).

On Wednesday, “The Walking Dead” alum told her followers on Twitter that she has been cast in The CW show. She was given permission to reveal that her character will have a relationship with the show’s resident angel but not much else.

“I am coming to you live from my hotel room in Vancouver, where I am given permission to reveal that I’m working on the show ‘Supernatural,’ Witt said in the video, referring to the Canadian province where the show films.

“The only bit of information that they said I could tell you is that this character has a relationship with Castiel, and then they told me I could tell you a whole other stuff, so I’m not going to,” the 41-year-old actress said.

She also apologised for missing the Walter Stalker Con, the “Walking Dead” convention featuring the show’s stars, in Atlanta over the weekend because she had to film scenes for “Supernatural.”

Following her announcement, fans have questioned what kind of “relationship” will her character have with Cas. Witt remained adamantly silent about that, though, leaving fans to wonder if she will have a romantic interest with the Winchester ally or if she’s someone from his past, maybe an angel like him.

However, according to TV Line, Witt’s character will be named Lily Sunder, and she’s an old enemy of Castiel.

This isn’t the first time Witt will be working alongside at least one member of the “Supernatural” cast. As star Jensen Ackles, who plays Dean Winchester, has reminded her, they both acted together as guest stars in the ‘90s sitcom “Cybill.”

It’s unknown how many episodes will Witt appear in. With the addition of Witt’s character, season 12 is proving to have the most number of women guest stars in one season. Dean and Sam’s (Jared Padalecki) dead mum Mary (Samantha Smith) is back, as well as Crowley’s (Mark Sheppard) centuries-old mother, Rowena (Ruth Connell). Lady Toni (Elizabeth Blackmore) is also currently the Winchesters’ main foe. And Sheriff Jody Mills (Kim Rhodes), Sheriff Donna (Briana Buckmaster), Claire Novak (Kathryn Newton) and Alex (Katherine Ramdeen) are all expected to return.

“Supernatural” season 12 airs Thursdays on The CW in the US. Its past seasons are on Eleven on Mondays and TenPlay in Australia.
