The pre-biblical threat known as the Darkness is one tough villain to defeat in “Supernatural” Season 11. “Supernatural” cast member Misha Collins teases in an interview Castiel’s move in defeating Amara/The Darkness (Emily Swallow) while Jared Padalecki, who portrays Sam Winchester in the CW TV series, weighs up on a possible way in taking down the show’s new enemy.

Spoiler Alert: This feature contains major “Supernatural” Season 11 spoilers.

In an interview with BuddyTV, Misha Collins teased about what’s next for “Supernatural” character Castiel when it comes to the storyline on the Darkness. Collins has revealed that Castiel’s top priority at the moment is to extinguish the Darkness.

Castiel has found out from Metatron (Curtis Armstrong) in “Supernatural” Season 11, episode 6 titled “Our Little World” that the Darkness is God’s sister. Metatron explained that God had to sacrifice His sister in order to create the world.

However, Collins teased that the plan in defeating the Darkness will end up really badly for the angel Castiel. “In an effort to combat the Darkness, in a sense, Cas makes another deal with the Devil that becomes another one of those things that everyone probably knows is a bad idea, but he does it,” Collins shared to BuddyTV.

Meanwhile, “Supernatural” cast member Jared Padalecki has given his response on the question of whether the Winchester hunters will find themselves teaming up with demons and monsters in order to defeat the Darkness or not. “We haven’t explored that too much yet,” Padalecki stated in Entertainment Weekly’s Spoiler Room report.

Padalecki further added that the arrival of Amara/The Darkness and what she could entail has already scared the humans, monsters, demons and angels, so there is a possibility the Winchesters could join forces with their enemies in order to take down a common enemy. “It was like a tagline for Independence Day or something, but it was like ‘When aliens invade is the day racism ends,’ so maybe this is sort of the same thing,” Padalecki explained.

“Supernatural” Season 11 airs on Wednesday nights at 9/8c on the CW Network. “Supernatural” Season 11, episode 7 titled “Plush” is scheduled to air on Nov. 18.
