The “Supernatural” characters are in big trouble in the forthcoming Season 11 of the CW TV series. A new promo video titled “The Family Business” teases that the main theme of “Supernatural” Season 11 will be darkness and death.

Spoiler Alert: This feature contains major “Supernatural” Season 11 spoilers.

In the promo video, Rowena (Ruth Connell) wonders about new hell unleashed upon the world when the Mark of Cain was removed from Dean Winchester’s arm. Rowena helped in performing the spell in the “Book of the Damned” that can get rid of the Mark of Cain on Dean in the finale of “Supernatural” Season 10 but the witch appears to have no idea on what will happen next.

Death (Julian Richings) explained to Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) in the finale of “Supernatural” Season 10 that the Mark of Cain, which is a lock to the prison of a pre-biblical threat called the Darkness, must be passed on. If not, the Darkness will be released.

The promo video has “O Death” as the background song and it gives a preview on the old and new characters of “Supernatural” Season 11. Castiel (Misha Collins) is in a very bad condition from Rowena’s “Attack Dog Spell,” while Crowley (Mark Sheppard) oddly appears as a priest. Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) talking to God and asking for His help.

As for the new “Supernatural” faces, Amara (Emily Swallow) is briefly seen in the promo video, along with a mysterious woman telling someone about his or her doomed fate. “I know you’re dying. I can feel it,” the mysterious new character declares in the “Supernatural” Season 11 promo video.

The Winchester brothers will be facing their biggest threat ever in “Supernatural” Season 11 as a result of their actions in the previous seasons, such as the removal of the Mark of Cain and killing Death-- one of the oldest and most powerful member of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

“Supernatural” Season 11 begins on Wednesday night, Oct. 7. The premiere episode titled “Out of the Darkness, Into the Fire” will air at 9/8c on the CW Television Network.
