Whoever is in charge for casting for “Supergirl” not only has an impeccable taste for actors who are perfect for their roles, but sure has a way of pleasantly surprising fans with the new additions for this upcoming season.

Veteran TV series actor Chris Wood is now officially part of the “Supergirl” cast. He was previously seen in “Vampire Diaries,” where he played Kai Parker, in “Carrie Diaries,” where he appeared as Adam Weaver, and quite recently in “Containment,” where he briefly appeared as Jake.

Wood is set to be regularly seen in “Supergirl” but which character he will play appears to be top secret as of the moment. All that is known for now is that the actor will surely be cast in a role that will surprise everyone, as said in a report by TV Line.

Wood’s casting in “Supergirl” marks the fourth time that the young and handsome actor has been assigned to a CW program. A post by Screen Rant suspects that Wood’s character in the series could have something heavily connected with the Kryptonian Pod that crashed on Earth in the last episode of “Supergirl’s” first season.

Unfortunately, official details of Wood’s character have been kept in utmost secrecy. For now, all that is left for fans of the series to do is wait until the second season of the series premiers on October 10.

The TV series based on a DC Superhero of the same name has revealed a very promising cast as it transitions from CBS to CW. Notable castings for season two include Teen Wolf’s Tyler Hoechlin who is to portray the Man of Steel, Superman. Lynda Carter, who was the classical embodiment of Wonder Woman, is also set to appear as the President of the United States of America.

Another visible new character which fans are looking forward to see in the series would be Maggie Sawyer, a lesbian detective who takes a particular interest in humans with superpowers. This character is to be played by the gorgeous Floriana Lima.

The second season of the hit series “Supergirl” will premiere on October 10, 2016 on The CW. It also airs on Syfy in Australia.
