'Super Smash Bros' Nintendo 3DS XL Controls

"Super Smash Bros" is a fighting game with four players using various attacks, techniques and items to deal damage on opponents. Gameplay of "Super Smash Bros" requires intense reflexes to do whatever's needed to defeat opponents.

However, initial impression reported by Kotaku revealed that the Nintendo 3DS XL does not seem to accurately recognise input unlike with Wii U version. Here are the details revealed about the gaming experience of Super Smash Bros on Nintendo 3DS XL:

- Circle pad can be an issue due to limited reflexes available than using a gaming joystick.

- At times, the system itself does not seem to be accurate on reading the proper input.

- Dash and recover actions have been considered sometimes faulty when used.

- Inconsistency with the tilt moves.

- Some issues on performing jumping moves.

Overall, initial impressions of the gaming experience are more on the negative aspect of the circle pad. Lack of precise input seems to cause all issues on quick reflexes, fast response, performing actions and tilts while playing Super Smash Bros on the Nintendo 3DS XL. Kotaku recommended playing the game on the Nintendo 3DS original instead of XL due to a less resistant circle pad and more accurate input recognition since the circle pad requires less pressure than XL.

"Super Smash Bros" is available for both Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL portable gaming consoles and Wii U as well. It has been released in Japan on September 13, 2014 and will be released in other countries starting on October 3 with support for both single-player and multiplayer modes.
