There will be some major changes in “Suits” season 8, thanks to the exit of Patrick J. Adams (Mike Ross) and Meghan Markle (Rachael Zane). The show will be getting a new intro video, which has surfaced online. Meanwhile, new cast member Katherine Heigl (Samantha Wheeler) teased some details about her character in a recent interview.

The intro video of the next season posted on YouTube shows all the main characters in mostly their shadows. It is clear which character is in focus, like Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) infuriating his colleague by taking away a document.

There have been a lot of changes in the name of the firm, and now finally Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) has a chance to run his own firm, at least he did in the previous season. Now, Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce) is the managing partner, and he will bring in a lawyer who will be a thorn in the flesh for Harvey.

The fans will get to meet the new lawyer Samantha Wheeler right in the premiere episode, and the character will not be making any friends at the firm, at least in the beginning. In an interview with TVGuide, Heigl said that starting off with a more antagonistic relationships at the firm offers a much more dynamic environment when compared to her character entering as “everybody’s best friend.”

Samantha’s first priority at the firm is to help her boss Robert Zane. The two characters have worked together for years, and they have mutual respect and loyalty.

From Heigl’s words it appears there are two factions at the firm. One if the Specter Litt group and the other is the Robert Zane group. How far this faction war will impact the firm will be interesting to watch, and Heigl teased that this will play out in the first few episodes.
