Photos from the set of “Suicide Squad” have emerged online revealing a close-up look at Margot Robbie in her character costume as Harley Quinn. The actress’ take on the comic villain apparently satisfied Harley Quinn co-creator Bruce Timm.

Photos shared by Mirror UK reveal a completely transformed Margot Robbie in her full character makeup and costume as Harley Quinn while on the set of “Suicide Squad.” The first close-up photo shared by the site showed the Australian actress dressed in a ripped-up shirt with “Daddy’s Lil Monster’ written across the chest. She also has a thick gold chocker as her accessory.

The second set photo is a full body shot of the actress in her Harley Quinn costume, where it showed her complete attire including a red jacket, and a studded belt wrapped across an ensemble of blue and red tiny sparkling shorts. Per Entertainment Online, the jacket also has the label “Property of Joker” printed on it although it’s not visible in the photos.

A few tattoos are also visible across both her legs. Margot Robbie is also seen brandishing a baseball bat on the back of her neck, which could be Harley Quinn’s weapon in the film. Another set photo shared by Comicbookmovie revealed the actress also sporting a gold spiky bracelet across both wrists. A pair of laced-up high-heeled boots completed her overall costume as the “Suicide Squad” villain.

Margot Robbie looked pale against the bright-coloured ensemble of her Harley Quinn costume. Even her makeup consisted of bright red lipstick and bright eye shadow, the latter purposely smudged outside her eyelids. Her hair has also been tied into pigtails and dyed into pastel shades of pink and blue to match each eye shadow colour.

The actress' boyfriend Tom Ackerley visited her, while on the set of “Suicide Squad.” According to Mirror UK, Ackerley looked completely surprised and was reportedly “taken aback” when he saw Margot Robbie completely transformed in her Harley Quinn costume.

According to Entertainment Online, Margot Robbie does not only look “badass” in her Harley Quinn costume for “Suicide Squad,” but also looks “delightfully frightening.” Meanwhile, Harley Quinn co-creator Bruce Timm could only say “so far so good” when asked by Io9 for his thoughts on the actress’ representation of the character.
