Few details have been revealed so far regarding Margot Robbie’s role as Harley Quinn in the 2016 film “Suicide Squad.” The actress had previously confirmed during interviews that she’s been hitting the gym in preparation for her character, but has not mentioned any other details like what her character’s accent would be or if she will be dressed in multiple costumes in the film. However, if there’s any truth to the recent speculations, Margot Robbie will reportedly have costume variations as Harley Quinn and will also have her pet hyenas to complete her get-up.

“Suicide Squad” scoopster Umberto Gonzalez once again took to his Instagram page to reveal details to Harley Quinn’s costumes in the movie. His sources have reportedly mentioned that Margot Robbie “has a few looks throughout” the David Ayer film. “Going from traditional with the animated series as a reference to prison attire & in one sequence where they infiltrate a club she wears a dress,” he said. Gonzalez further claimed that Margot Robbie will also be wearing a TAS as Harleen Quinzel a.k.a. Harley Quinn. Completing her get-up would be her and Joker’s (Jared Leto) pet hyenas, which according to Gonzalez will also be featured in the film as a “big motif.”

Harley Quinn’s rumoured costumes reportedly represent her classic suits in “Batman: The Animated Series,” where she was first introduced in the 1992 episode “Joker’s Favor.” The character has seen numerous wardrobe changes since her inclusion in the DC Universe and according to Comic Book, if Gonzalez’s information is confirmed then it seems like movie director David Ayer will be taking on the classic route for the character in “Suicide Squad.” Harley Quinn’s dress could supposedly be a nod to her “Batman: Arkham Asylum” costume.

However, as far as Margot Robbie is concerned, production on the “Suicide Squad” has yet to get to the costume part especially since shooting still officially starts in April. When asked by MTV News which of Harley Quinn’s costumes she would wear in the film, from the character’s classic “Batman: Animated Series” suit to her Juggalette-inspired outfit in “Arkham Asylum,” the Australian actress said, “We haven’t gotten too far into it, we’re still pretty far off.”
