Talking about his movie "Fury," movie director David Ayer also shared some interesting details about his DC film "Suicide Squad," where he supposedly confirmed the possible appearance of Captain Boomerang. Likewise, he reportedly also hinted that the movie may be full of supervillains.

According to Movieweb, David Ayer "seemingly confirmed" that Captain Boomerang could make an appearance in "Suicide Squad." The site credits this assumption to the filmmaker's interview with Empire Online. The movie director was asked about how the villain would be cast in the movie adaptation. Ayer reportedly replied that Captain Boomerang will be cast like any other role. "I'm going to do what I do in my typical fever dream of directing," he said.

However, no official announcement has actually been made regarding the character's involvement. The "Fury" director reportedly also hinted that "Suicide Squad" will be filled with supervillains when he likened it to the 1967 war film "The Dirty Dozen." "Then I can ask the question, 'Does a movie really need good guys?'" he said in his Empire interview.

Captain Boomerang joins other rumoured villains including Blockbuster (Mark Desmond), Multiplex (Danton Black), Jaculi, Mindboggler (Leah Wasserman), Vixen (Mari Jiwe McCabe) and Deadshot (Floyd Lawton). Movieweb claims Captain Boomerang, Vixen and Deadshot are set to take the lead.

While no casting choices have been announced, David Ayer said in his interview that he's very much excited to start exploring the mythical corridors of "Suicide Squad." He also teased that his cast would need to go through a "cookbook of preparation" prior to filming.

Speaking of casting, few actors have been reported to have already made it to the list of candidates for "Suicide Squad." Ryan Gosling, Will Smith, Bane actor Tom Hardy and Australian beauty Margot Robbie ('The Wolf of Wall Street') have been rumoured to already be in talks to star in the movie. However, as with Captain Boomerang's appearance, their involvement is still pending confirmation from Warner Bros. or the director himself.

It's still uncertain when and where production for "Suicide Squad" will begin. After all, the DC movie is still two years away from its slated U.S. release on Aug. 5, 2016.
