Add Sugar Ray Leonard to the growing list of notable personalities who are raring to see Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. slug it out in 12 rounds of boxing.

The first man in boxing history to earn $100 million from purses is egging on the two top fighters in their class to give in to the clamour of the public and set aside their differences, be it religion, legacy or fight purse and pay-per-view payouts. As reported by ESPN.com, Leonard also said the public right now is leaning on a Mayweather win but clarified that just like his fight with Tommy Hearns, it is hard to give an accurate prediction.

"They should fight," Leonard said Sunday while speaking to Fox 11 Los Angeles. "Now they're leaning more towards Mayweather. Because at first it was 'We don't know who's going to win the fight' - like Tommy Hearns and I, like Hagler and I, like Duran and I."

The mega-fight has been in the headlines of boxing gossip sites for four years running and negotiations have always hit a snag each time the sides were about to formalize a deal. Among the litany of issues which both parties failed to resolve include random drug testing, a split purse, pay-per-view revenue sharing and lately, the exclusion of Bob Arum from any potential Pacman-Money fight. Not that the two sides have not considered to finally ink a deal, but Mayweather was last quoted as giving a surprise to fans come next Spring yet when asked about Pacman the next day, the pound for pound king just kept mum.

Pacquiao for his part is focusing on the upcoming Nov. 22 fight against Chris Algieri in Macau. While he does not oppose to fight Mayweather, the Filipino has continuously said that the American boxer is always ducking him in fear of tainting his immaculate record. Mayweather has no official opponent yet for the next fight but has been on record to say that he will have only two fights more before hanging up the gloves.

Many are wondering if one of the two last fights would include a Pacquiao bout, but just like the rest of boxing fans and Sugar Ray Leonard, it is all speculation just for now.
