Hollywood is filled with lovely and talented young actresses, and with Stephen King's 'Carrie' on the works, we put Chloe Moretz and Selena Gomez head-to-head on who will fit the starring bill perfectly.

Remakes are what's big in Hollywood right now, and it won't be complete without Stephen King's film adaptation of "Carrie." Sissy Spacek brought the notable role to life back in 1976, which garnered quite the attention with the pig's blood over high school bullies. It went on to be noticed in the Academy Awards and it is still considered a classic thriller. Two major stars are said to be on the line to portraying the highly acclaimed role: Selena Gomez and Chloe Moretz.

It goes to say that both actresses are talented in their separate ways but who can deliver the role of "Carrie" better? Would it be 19-year old Selena Gomez who has played the humorous witch of Disney's "Wizards of Waverly Place" or the 15-year old Chloe Moretz who kicks bad guy butt in the film "Kick Ass"?

However, Director Kim Peirce has already reached a decision to which Chloe Moretz had excitedly announced to her Twitter followers a few hours passed.

"Never been so happy in my life! Thank you Kim Pierce and thank u MGM for the chance of a lifetime i will never forget!" tweeted Moretz.

With the decision final, it looks as if Selena Gomez has lost the iconic role to Chloe Moretz but of course she had originally been the choice for the role as stated on Hollywood Life.

"Selena Gomez was also considered for the role, but ultimately we went after Chloe," shared an insider. "We think she would be perfect for the role that made Sissy Spacek an international star!"

Now that the decision has already been laid out, it's up to fans and critics to say if it is a good decision. Who would have been the better choice to play the telekinetic teenager: Selena or Chloe?
