In his third autobiography, Stephen Fry revealed that he was addicted to cocaine and he spent a huge amount of time and money on it.

His autobiography, 'More Fool Me' is the third part that follows the first and second published in the year 1997 and 2010, respectively. Fry is an actor, presenter and celebrity revealed his addictions and gave a glimpse of his autobiography to the Sunday Times.

The Daily Mail reported that he said that his aim of writing the autobiography was to tell the world his story and to be honest. He wants to tell the truth to the world. He has confessed about a time in his life when he spent, "an enormous amount of time and money on cocaine powder."

He stated that now that phase of his life seems stupid and he feels that it was an immature decision, but he points that several others have also gone through what he has. Fry has been open about his past life and has admitted about several things that have occurred in his life.

He admitted that he tried to take his life in a hotel room in 2012. He had been suffering from depression and wanted to end his life. He had revealed this in an interview with fellow comedian Richard Herring for the Leicester Square Theatre Podcast. He said that since he was the president of mental health charity Mind, he had to be open about his own struggles with depression. On stage he stated that he had tried to take his life 19 years ago as well. He said that he was a victim of a condition that requires treatment so that he does not act too hyper or depressed. His depression almost leads him to a point where he feels like committing suicide.

He was also suffering from bipolar disorder. It is a condition that is characterized by periods of depression and then periods of elevated moods. It can last from days to weeks. It leads to self harm in 30 to 40 per cent of the cases. Describing his condition he said that if he does not seek treatment at the right time, he goes really hyper and that results in him not sleeping for three to four nights. He said that it becomes impossible for people to deal with him.

His book, "More Fool Me" is set to release on September 25.
