The highly anticipated Steam Winter Sale is now live with big discounts on PC games. The deal also brings winter themed trading cards exclusively available during the sale.

Gamespot has listed some of the deals, which include “Counter Strike: Go” for US$7.49 (approx. AU$11), “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” for US$30 (approx. AU$42), “Star Wars Collection” for US$23 (approx. AU$32) and "Rocket League" for US$14 (approx. AU$20).

In a press release, Valve announced a two-week Winter Sale, which will offer huge discounts on titles from several franchises. Steam will also offer three free trading cards every day during the Winter Sale. This year, Valve is also introducing the first-ever Steam Sale comic titled "Gingerbread Jake In: North Pole Noir." During the sale, new pages from the comic series will be revealed.

According to Valve, there are around 10,000 titles available on sale across the Steam online store. For those who want to take their time in buying discounted titles, fans will be comforted to know that the Steam Winter sale won’t have Daily or any Flash Sales. The developers have provided a single discount that will be applicable during the entire run of the sale.

Top titles like “The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim,” “Grand Theft Auto V,” “Call of Duty: Black Ops III” and “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain” have been discounted with 40 percent to 50 percent. Players can obtain a copy of “The Witcher 2” at only US $2.99 (approx. AU$4.13) during the Steam Winter Sale.

The best part of the Steam Sale is the new titles aren’t the only ones that are available at a notable low price; there are thousands of other games available with a discount of 10 percent to 95 percent.

Steam users have been waiting all year for the biggest PC games sale at Steam, which will end on Jan. 4 at 10 am PT. For players who want to get the most out of the sale or who may not want to miss out on discounts, Shakenews has spotted a useful tool to track all the deals in one place. Dubbed as the Steam Database Sales Tracker, the tool makes it easier for users to access the data without moving to countless pages.
