It’s time for “Star Wars” maniacs to choose their Force allegiance. SoftBank, the Japanese mobile maker, is launching a pair of “Star Wars” smartphones to mark the incoming release of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.” The Star Wars-themed smartphones have been manufactured by Sharp and they come in Light and Dark side editions.

According to The Verge, the “Star Wars” smartphones are going to have an IGZO Display that is capable of 1080p resolution. The screen size would be 5.3 inches. The phones are going to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and will have more than decent battery capacity of 3,000 mAh.

The “Star Wars” smartphones will have 3GB RAM and internal storage capacity of 32GB. microSD slot will also be available. A 22.6MP primary camera is also expected in the smartphones. The handsets will weigh 155g and are 7.6mm thick. TV Tuner will be included.

The “Star Wars” smartphones will be launched on Dec. 2 in Japan. Pre-orders have started though the demand may overtake supply. Those who are absolutely sure of getting one must start planning a trip to Japan.

“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” movie tickets will be available from Monday. Special deals and exclusive merchandise will be on offer in certain movie theatres.

Some of the “Star Wars” smartphone cool features are “Star Wars” ringtones, “Star Wars” emojis, “Star Wars” alarm clock, “Star Wars” movie player app, Star Wars: Force Collection” card game including code for a gold card pack ticket, five exclusive “Rogue One” metal figurines, light and dark-themed Android 6.0 skin and live wallpapers.
