A first look trailer of “Star Wars Resistance” TV series has been released online. The short video teases the animation style and the general look and tone of the show, while hinting at the plot. The fans will see some high flying action and comedy.

The animation style and design of the upcoming TV series is very different from what the fans have seen in other shows from the franchise like “Rebels” and “The Clone Wars.” Still, a lot of effort has clearly been put in the development.

This is a hero’s journey. Just as Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) wondered about his future, staring at the binary sun at Tatooine, the hero of the upcoming TV series Kazuda Xiono (Voice by Christopher Sean) is a young pilot thinking about his future while looking at the twin moons.

Kaz wants to be an ace pilot, and he will travel to a place where pilots across the galaxy gather to take part in a dangerous race. While there, he also has a secret mission from Resistance pilot Poe Dameron (Voice by Oscar Isaac). Kaz has to blend in and find out anything he can about the First Order, a secretive organisation that is growing powerful.

Another familiar character from the main “Star Wars” saga that the fans will see in the TV series is the soccer droid BB-8. Kaz also has a crew who will help him in the race. One scene in the trailer also appears to tease the presence of Captain Phasma, a character played by Gwendoline Christie in the movies.

Apart from all the action, the TV series is also promising to be a fun ride with a lot of humour. Kaz appears to be a fun loving character who has no difficulty in expressing himself and saying exactly what’s on his mind.

“Star Wars Resistance” is set to premiere on Oct. 7 on Disney channel.
